1. Open a new or existing Microsoft Word document.
2. Click on the "Insert" tab at the top of your screen.
3. Click on the "Symbol" button, which is located near the right-hand side of the ribbon.
4. A drop-down menu will appear. Choose "More Symbols" at the bottom of the menu.
5. In the "Symbol" dialogue box that appears, click on the "Font" dropdown menu and choose "Arial Unicode MS."
6. Locate the Naira sign (₦) in the list of symbols. You can also type "Naira" in the "Subset" dropdown menu to quickly find it.
7. Click on the Naira sign symbol to highlight it, then click the "Insert" button.
8. The Naira sign should now appear in your Word document wherever your cursor was placed.
Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + Alt + N" on your keyboard to quickly insert the Naira sign without having to navigate the Symbol dialogue box. This method should work in any version of Microsoft Word.
